"KALISZ - Attractions, History, Curiosities, What to See" - is a film in which we show not only the outline of the history of Kalisz, but also the changes it has undergone. In it, we present a subjective selection of topics. The places we tell you about can be visited on a weekend. These include the archaeological reserve in Zawodzie, the book monument, Rozmarek Square, the Main Market Square, the Kalisz town hall, St. Joseph's Square, Russów with the Maria Dąbrowska manor house, the sanctuary of St. Joseph, the cathedral of St. Nicholas, Dorotka Tower, Kalisz Castle (of which small relics remain to this day). We talk about Maria Dąbrowska and her connections with Kalisz, as well as about "Nights and Days". We mention Kalisz Jews and the Kalisz Statute. We also show Kalisz before the war in old, colorized photos, comparing the same places as they looked then and now.
