The LSUIC Legacy Hour Series celebrated its 5th edition by honoring past leadership and archiving institutional memories as the union approaches its 20th anniversary in 2026. LSUIC Legacy R Series Launch The meeting focused on the launch of the LSUIC Legacy R Series, celebrating the union's 20th anniversary since its founding in 2006. National President Olano Teah Bloh, the host, introduced the series' aim to archive institutional memories and share the stories of past leaders to inform current and future members. Hon. Emmet, the guest speaker and past president of LSUIC, joined the meeting and discussed the importance of learning from past challenges and progress to build a better LSUIC. LSUIC 20th Anniversary Legacy Hour The meeting focused on the fifth edition of the Legacy Hour, celebrating the 20th anniversary of LSUIC. NSG-Willie opened the event, emphasizing the importance of documenting the institution's history and fostering unity among past and current leaders. The national president, Olano, provided a prayer for the occasion. Hon. Jenkins G. Wilson, the national deputy secretary general, welcomed attendees and encouraged participation. Hon. Emmet A. Green, a former national president, shared his experiences and challenges during his tenure, highlighting key achievements and legacy projects. He discussed financial schemes, a scholar talk-show program, and a business fair, while also addressing issues such as pledge collection and loan repayment. Hon. Emmet's Leadership and Legacy Hon. Emmet discussed his leadership tenure, highlighting the establishment of professional working groups for undergraduates, graduates, and PhD students. He mentioned the completion of an audit covering July 2019 to July 2022 and the evolution of Liberia-China relations during his time in office. Hon. Emmet also shared lessons in leadership, negotiation, and crisis management, emphasizing the importance of trust, inclusiveness, adaptability, and service-oriented leadership. He concluded by reflecting on his experience managing student loans during the COVID-19 pandemic and expressing confidence in the current leadership under National President Olano Teah Bloh. Hon. Emmet's Vision for Student Leadership Hon.
