Two Royal Australian Air Force Airbus KC-30A Voyagers taking off at Cairns Airport. I happened to be spotting on two seperate occasions when KC-30As were at Cairns. The Airbus KC-30A Voyager is a modified Airbus A330-200 which is designed for mid-air refuelling. It is used mostly by Air Forces and it is commonly know as the Airbus A330-200MRTT standing for multi-role tanker transport. On both occasions they landed and taxied to the end of the taxiway and sat there with their engines on for around an hour and then simply took off again, apparently they do this every time. I am unsure of where they come and go to because on both occasions they didn't show up on radar (I assume it was RAAF Base Amberley (Brisbane) where most KC-30s are based) however when they do exercises down south they tend to show up on radar.
