Dunland, Dunlendings, Dunland Music, Dunlending, Dunland lotr, Dunland Ambient Music, Dunland Roleplaying music, Dunlending Music, Lord of the Rings Dunland, Dunland legendary region, Lotro Dunland Music, Lotr Dunlendings, Lord of the Rings Music for Lotr fans and everyone :-) This is the tale of the hardy Dunlendings, living in the hills of Dunland - the old enemies of Rohan and Gondor, but also ancestors of many Gondorians, living in the white mountains and in the hilly parts close to the mountains. The Axemen of Lossarnach have probably a good part of Dunlending ancestry, due to their mountain home and their complexion. Wulf is a well-known chieftain of the Dunlendings, half Northman and half Dunlending, who led the Dunlendings against Helm Hammerhand. The Army of the Dead are old ancestors of the Dunlendings from the 2nd Age, a people who were living in the White Mountains in ancient times. The ancestors of the Dunlendings are to be found among the Haladin, the second of the three houses of the Edain. The Dunlendings in Dunland have kept in relative isolation from other people and maintained their own language and their own customs and manners, however many of them were charmed and seduced by the voice of Saruman, participating in the siege of the Hornborg for Saruman and the armies of the White Hand, fighting alongside orcs and uruk-hai. Many perished in this battle but prisoners were spared and released by the Rohirrim. The Army of the Undead that Aragorn summoned in the War of the Ring is closely related to the Dunlendings, as they were the Daen Coentis who swore an oath to Elendil - they would provide help in times of war, that they later failed to do. The Daen Coentis who swore the oath actually died out as a people. Many of them had moved to the north to Dunland to escape the terrible curse that was upon them. The Dunlendings are more isolated in the Hills of Dunland than the Daen Coentis ever had been in the White Mountains, living in clans and family groups, that are under the command of a Chieftain. #middleearth #jrrtolkien #hobbit #lordoftherings #lotr #lotro #dunland #dunlendings #armyofthedead #undead #daencoentis
