23rd - 24th October 2021 saw the Dean Forest Railway celebrate 50 years of operation with their slightly delayed 50th Anniversary Gala. Star of the show was guest loco Peckett W6 0-4-0ST, No.1722 'Rocket' (courtesy of the Telford Steam Railway) - giving a representation of the railway's own Peckett, 'Uskmouth', from the early days of the railway - operating brake van rides at the railway's Northern terminus, Parkend. Also joining the line-up was the railway's own home fleet, making for an intensive weekend of steam and diesel hauled services. Filmed on Saturday 23rd October, we is all locomotives in action working trains between Lydney Junction, Norchard, and Parkend. **Please note some shots were taken from the lineside under the careful guidance of volunteers, from non-public location.
