He liberated black South Africans, united his country and became a role model for millions of people around the world. His death has shaken Africa, but the feelings and ideas he inspired live on. What has become of Mandela's vision? Is the 'rainbow nation' a reality, or is racism still alive and kicking? Guests: Franziska Ulm-Düsterhöft after completing studies in political science with a focus on Africa, Ulm-Düsterhöft joined the German office of Amnesty International in 2008. As a specialist on Human Rights in Africa, she is now the Africa Consultant for Amnesty International in Germany. Richard Khamis a journalist from South Sudan, Khamis studied in Cairo (Egypt) before coming to Germany for further study. He now works for the Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk in Leipzig. Nhlanhla Sibisi born in Durban, Sibisi grew up South Africa under the Apartheid system, and began actively participating in the "Mass Democratic Movement" as a student activist from the age of 15. He has been a PhD scholar at the Free University of Berlin (Germany) in the field of sustainable development with an emphasis on renewable energy since 2012.
