How can collective Wisdom go beyond polarization and the Tyranny of the Majority? 7.30 – 8.30 PM (IST) Bio: Henrik Dutz is a German architect with professional experience at archicult and Jäcklein Architekten. Since 2019, he has worked in Auroville as a volunteer with Raman Construction and Studio Archology, where he focuses on sustainable and holistic architecture involving rammed earth and vaulted masonry. His practice is informed by Integral philosophy and complemented by his interests in yoga, meditation, and playing bass guitar. Abstract: In an era of deepening polarization, both globally as well as here in Auroville, we are struggling to find enough common ground as collectives to orient ourselves in these uncertain times. How do we move beyond the 'tyranny of the majority' or the influence of small elites whose perceptions are often distorted by their own power? This inquiry tries to explore how a diverse community can sense its highest integrative truths and establish a legitimacy that transcends old, oppressive systems. How can we build institutions that are firm enough to act with justice, yet fluid enough to adapt to constant change? What are steps that we could easily take and where might be bigger hurdles in our collective yoga? Auroville Convivial: Live Talks is a week-long international gathering during Auroville Week (21–28 February 2026). It is conceived as an invitation to step into a shared, live space to speak about and around Auroville. Together, we seek to reopen dialogue on how this ongoing experiment engages with the wounds of the world, as well as its own lived successes, setbacks, and unfolding possibilities to reflect the prismatic nature of Auroville.
