Ripp Supercharger High Performance Coil Packs on JKU Wrangler!

A few weeks back, I got the dreaded Cylinder # 2 misfire code # P0302 while driving north on my way to Albany, NY. My truck started running rough out of nowhere, so I turned around and headed back home. With my Superchips FlashCal, I was quickly able to tell what was going on and did some research ahead of time. Fast forward a week later, I took the truck to the dealership (hoping a Service Bulletin would save my @$$), but was told the rough idling was caused by a hole in the coil boot which was causing “arcing” in the cylinder. They wanted to charge me $700 to change one coil pack and the spark plugs. I declined the service and decided to take on the fix myself. I threw in some NGK Laser Iridium Spark Plugs (Part # NGK9723 or SILZKR7B11) and the RIPP Supercharger High Performance Coil Packs (Part # 118CPK36) which are supposed to help with a more responsive throttle, better MPG and overall engine performance. I just admit, the truck does sound and feel different!
