Is Carson City Worth Seeing?...Let's Find Out!

When I booked a stop at Carson City, Nevada, on my trip, more than a handful of people said it wasn't worth visiting. According to them, there was no important history associated with it, nor were there any interesting things to see. I actually enjoyed the town very much. The Hardman House Hotel was superb, for starters, and even walking Main Street (Carson Street) was fun. I had visited the Nevada State Museum on a prior trip, and it was excellent, as was the old Carson City Mint, the most famous of all United States Mints. The State Capitol building has great exhibits and it was refreshing to just be able to wander around inside. I had a great dinner too, at Garibaldi's, on restaurant row, featuring the biggest meatball I ever saw in my life (separate review coming, on my Restaurant Reviews on the Road playlist. All in all, as this travelogue hopefully shows, it was a fun place to spend a day.
