Psalm 46 (A Mighty Fortress) is the second release from Iron Psalter. Tracking the heavy guitars for this track in my Alaskan home, I spent a lot of time looking out at the mountains. You realize fast how small you are against that much stone and ice. I wanted the final mix to carry that exact physical weight. Psalm 23 was about surviving the dark. Psalm 46 is about the earth shattering and the mountains falling into the sea, yet standing safe behind an unbreakable wall. It demanded a more imposing, immovable sound.
