Welcome to our surgical showcase! In this video, we present a case of a 48-year-old female diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus in 2003. Over the years, she developed diabetic nephropathy and is currently on the waitlist for a kidney transplant. Due to significant post-void residual urine, she has been managing with self-catheterization after attempts at natural voiding. However, she faced difficulties with self-catheterization and voiding, leading to further investigation which revealed a urethral stricture. The stricture, extending approximately 1.5 cm from the mid-urethra to the proximal urethra, was successfully treated using a Ventral onlay buccal mucosa graft (BMG) urethroplasty.
