In this video, we ride on-board ADL Enviro 400 (NK57GWY/7506), whilst operating on service 43 between Morpeth and Newcastle. This example has recently had it's emissions system repaired, having previously been confined to operating on the 553 service, which avoids entering Newcastle City Centre's CAZ Zone. Some of these classic Enviro 400s still seem to have some power behind them, which is certainly a very big plus, especially when compared to some of the newer examples, which just seem sluggish more times than not. All of the remaining 2007/2008/2009 ADL Enviro 400s are expected to be withdrawn in the coming weeks, with newer buses for various Depots having already arrived in some cases...
