STORY: It's been five years since Goku the destroyer of worlds battled Prince Vegeta on the crumbling Planet Vegeta. During this fight, the Evil Goku was accidentally sent through a vortex sending him to a parallel universe. It was here that the Evil Goku met his opposite, the kind and gentle Goku we all know. After an exhausting fight, Goku uses the Spirit Bomb to destroy the Evil Goku and bring peace back to the Earth. It's been five years since that day, Goku has died from his fight against Cell and the earth has been at peace, until now. The Evil Goku survived the Spirit Bomb! After being buried deep in the ground for five years the Evil Goku has somehow manged to survive, but has become incredibly weak. Now a mysterious figure has appeared to him promising to make him more powerful and to deliver Goku for a final showdown. It started to freeze several times towards the end of editing but it did great! Can't wait for Adobe CS5 then I'll be able to use all 8 gigs of ram instead of just 4 gigs. It took me about 6 months to get this project done. 1-2 months for preproduction (script, ideas, editing sprites) and about 4-5 months of actual production (working in After Effects and animating.) I didn't spend a lot of time on the intro and the text parts of the video because I was rushed and like I said before my computer kept freezing towards the end of the project so next time I'll make a kick butt intro and show off my After Effect skills. XD I had to do 15 different "Save as" because the file size started becoming massive and I didn't want to lose my work. Best advise to everyone, save often and always make back up files. The story of all of this is really telling two things. First is that the Evil Goku never died and that hes became so weak that he needs to kill himself in order to become "immortal." When doing so he discovers how to become Super Sayian 3. The second thing is that this would be telling the story of how Goku achieves Super Sayian 3 for the first time. In the anime Goku never really says how he managed to achieve Super Sayian 3, only that he was training in other world. So my idea was to stay true to the anime as much as possible and sort of fill the gap a little bit. GOAL The goal of this video is to achieve a new level of sprite animating that features full HD resolution by animating in Adobe After Effects. By combining various animating techniques with a movie-like style of projection, and using the power of Adobe After Effects, this animation should reflect a major motion picture in sprite form. It is my hope that this will create a new hybrid style of animating, however at the same time should still stay true to a normal Flash sprite animation.
