Due to multiple active Western Disturbances, widespread weather activity is expected across North, Northwest, Central, Eastern and Northeast India in the coming days. From 19–21 March, cloudy conditions along with rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds and possible hailstorms are expected across large parts of North India, Central India and Eastern India. States like Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh may experience active weather, while Northeast India and Bangladesh may also see intense thunderstorm activity with locally heavy rainfall. On 21 March, rainfall intensity may increase over Uttar Pradesh and Eastern India, with the possibility of heavy rain, strong winds and hailstorms in several areas. Widespread thunderstorms may continue across Odisha, Northeast India and parts of South India as well. From 22 March onwards, rainfall activity may gradually decrease, remaining mainly limited to parts of Northeast India and eastern regions, with only isolated light rain expected over North India. Another Western Disturbance around 25–26 March may again increase rainfall over North and Northwest India, especially over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. A stronger system from 27 March may bring heavy rainfall over Pakistan and adjoining regions, followed by heavy rain and possible hailstorms over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during 28–29 March. During the same period, thunderstorms are also possible across parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Jharkhand. Rainfall activity may increase again over Northeast India by 30–31 March, and another Western Disturbance is likely to influence weather conditions into early April.
