This video is intended to share a brief overview of the many routes toward careers in the mental health helping professions. I quickly overview four main career tracks (psychiatry (MD / DO), counseling (LPC), social work (LCSW), and psychology (LLP / LP)), three specializations within psychology (clinical, counseling, and school), and three psychology training models (scientist-practitioner (PhD), practitioner-scholar (PsyD), and clinical-scientist(PhD)).
