Pulp live at Slottsskogen, Gothenburg 9 August 2024 - Way Out West Festival. Full show from my master. First time seeing them since I last saw in London and Cambridge 1995. Honestly I didn't know what to expect as so many years are gone by and memories of Britpop had faded a long time before. Would they be good? Would they still be relevant to what's going on in the world in year 2024? I was positively surprised when I saw them again. All the classics I heard back them (Pink glove, Babies, Disco 2000 etc etc) sounded still fresh and good. Jarvis still sang well with his witty & funny comments between songs. It was a nice journey down memory lane. It was like a reunion with your old mates that you used to hang out with on a Saturday night. Only that common people back then have turned into common adults with wrinkles and beer belly (myself included). It was a lovely evening with good tunes from the past. Sorry about shaky angles and a cut at the start of Pink Glove. I was simply too excited that I forgot to have the camera on. Another sign of common old people doing common old things I guess...
