In this segment we provide a detailed interpretation of the Quran Verse 2:31, an introduction to the story of Adam. In This Segment: • Continuing the discourse on Zikr: How the QurꜤānic Abrahamic Locution is extracted from Zikr! • Nested Interpretation for “عرض على”, which is part of 2:31 • Description of the concept of آدَمٌ ādam: NOT THE FIRST HUMAN BEING! In this segment we deal with the erroneous story that Adam was the first human being: Why Is This Important? Modern Science has provided irrefutable, archeological discoveries (in the hundreds) for modern human groups existing between 40,000 and 400,000 years ago, with individual human-like skeletal remains going back 3.5 million years back Several scholars have discussed the possibility of having humans before the Torah Ādam, including Jaafar As-Sādiq, Ar-Rāzī, Muhyid-dīn Ibn Ɛarabī, As-Suyūṭī, and Abdus-Sabūr Shahīn When we approach the QurꜤān to learn, we cannot presume true: o The corrupted Torah version of the story of Ādam o That the QurꜤān provided explicit knowledge about the beginning of human creation o That the QurꜤānic text encapsulates all the divine knowledge On this channel, we do NOT teach the (corrupted) Bible! We only teach the QurꜤān, using the Quranic methodology to extract knowledge from the Quran, exclusively! Reminder: Do not assume into a story more than its composition indicates… DO NOT START WITH THE ASSUMPTION THAT THE QURꜤĀN TOLD US ABOUT ĀDAM BEING THE FIRST HUMAN BEING! خليفة does NOT indicate ādam! It indicates “alternating stewards of the scripture”, which includes us right now! The angels did not ask (in 2:30)… The BaƐūḍah made a declaration (in the style of a question) as a challenge to Allahh, and therefore, they were not talking about ādam! ādam is mentioned in a different aya, as a separate scene, as we shall see! In this segment, we provide the detailed interpretation for the following verses: Quran (Hood) 11:18 Quran (Al-Kahf) 18:48 Quran (Al-Ahqaaf) 46:20 Quran (Al-Ahqaaf) 46:34 Quran (Ash-Shura) 42:45 Quran (Al-Ahqaaf) 46:4 Quran (Al-Ahzaab) 33:70-73 We rely on the organic Quranic methodology, on the Abrahamic locution, and on the nested interpretation techniques to uncover the meanings and indications of the Quran verses. The conclusion: When the Quran Tafseer scholars decided to bring their stories form corrupted versions of the earlier scriptures, they misled the Muslims from engaging the Quran in the way that Allahh had instructed us to do.
