'The Last Stand' by 'Ash Grunwald' is the first single and opening track from the album 'Gargantua'. The single was released 7th June 2013 and the album 'Gargantua' on 28th June 2013 through 'Shock Records'. 'Ash Grunwald' is a young Australian blues musician from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He was born to a African father and an Australian mother. Ash grew up listening to the songs and myths of both Africa and Australia. Drawn to the blues from an early age, Ash learned to play the music of 'Robert Johnson', 'Howlin Wolf', 'Muddy Waters' and 'Junior Wells', influences that remain a strong part of his music today. Ash has built a strong reputation based on his live shows and festival performances and in 2006 he supported the now deceased soul legend 'James Brown' at his Tasmanian concert.
