Bonjour Friends, How have you been ? The weather has been very cold lately, I spend a cosy day t home in the rainy French countryside. I prepare a butternut squash soup and some « pommes au four », baked apples; for dessert. It was a calm and peaceful day, and I wanted to share those moments with you guys. Hope you will liked this new video, thank you so much for watching. Take care friends, see you soon. 🏡🌧️ Ps : English is not my native language so I want to apologize for the mistakes I will surely make in the subtitles of this video Butternut squash soup: 🎃🍂 1 small butternut (900g without the skin and seeds) 3 potatoes 2 carrots 1 garlic clove 10g of peeled fresh turmeric Water or vegetable stock Salt and pepper 1. Peeled and wash all the vegetables and cut them roughly into bite size pieces. 2. In a big pot, on medium heat, add olive oil and the garlic clove cut in halves and let it sweat for a few seconds. 3. Add the vegetables and the peeled turmeric and cook for about five minutes, until the vegetables begin to have a beautiful color. 4. Add water or vegetable stock, until all the vegetables are immersed, salt and pepper to taste. 5. Let it cook on low to medium heat, until everything is soft. 6. Blend the soup and taste to adjust the seasoning. 7. Serve hot with good bread and butter. Enjoy! 🎃🍂 Baked apples / Pommes au four: 🍎🍂 4 apples 50g brown sugar 1 tablespoon cinnamon 25g butter 1. Remove the core from the apples (I kept the skin, but you can peel them if you want). 2. Place the apples in a tin and add the sugar and cinnamon mix together in their core. 3. Add one piece of butter in each apple and sprinkle with the leftover sugar if you have some. 4. Cook in the oven at 180°C for about 40 minutes until the apples are soft and caramelized. (The cook time is going to depend on the size of your apples) I ate them plain but if you have vanilla ice cream or yogurt, you should try it, it’s very delicious together. Enjoy! 🍎🍂 00:00 Preview 00:48 Picking flowers and the butternut in my garden 01:50 Preparing a comforting butternut soup 07:53 Baked apples in the making 10:53 Lighting a fire on a cold day 11:57 The soup is ready! 14:35 Time for dessert 14:50 Indecisive weather and beautiful rainbow Ps : English is not my native language so I want to apologize for the mistakes I will surely make in the subtitles of this video 🎶 Music : epidemicsound.com Lynx, LUNCHS As the light unfolds, ANNA LANDSTRÖM Once upon a time in Stockholm, FRANZ GORDON #homevlog #cozyvibe #slowliving #countrylifevlog #introvert #studioghiblilife #relaxingvideo #silentvlog #countrylifevlog #RuralLife #cottagecore #frenchcountryside #asmr #villagevibes #simplelife #cozyhome #peacefullife #slowvibes #countrylife #rusticliving #countrysidelifestyle #slowlivingmoment #frenchstyle #frenchbaking #brittany #foraging #fall #autumn #pumpkinrecipe #squash #apples #france #cottagelife
