Ron Vale is an emeritus professor of cellular and molecular pharmacology at University of California, San Francisco, and maintains a lab at HHMI’s Janelia Research Campus. He was an HHMI Investigator from 1995 to 2020. In 2020, he became HHMI’s vice president and executive director of HHMI's Janelia Research Campus. Ronald Vale studies the molecular motor proteins kinesin and dynein, which power the movement of membranes and chromosomes along microtubules inside cells, and explores the role of the cytoskeleton in cell division and cell shape. In addition, Vale and his team employ biophysical and cell biological approaches to dissect the mechanism of T cell signaling and the mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative disease. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_... #biotechnology #science #vc #startup #startups #startupideas #biology #biotech #chemistry #business #speech #speeches #investing #investment #lifescience #casestudy #scientist #scientists #inventors #inventor #inventions #invention #research #innovation #siliconvalley #entrepreneur #entrepreneurship #entrepreneurs #healthcare #genomics #genetics #history #biologia #technology #tech #founderstories #founder #founders #founderstory #scienceandtechnology #sciencestory #stories #bioengineering #engineering #engineer #biochemistry #discovery #discover #technical #health #education #educational #learning #learn #podcast #podcasts #podcasting #podcaster #technews Axial Newsletter: https://axial.substack.com/ Build with Axial: https://build.axialvc.com/ https://linktr.ee/axialxyz
