Tantzers Presents: The Akiva Concert - Highlights Video - טאנצערס - עקיבא If someone in your family has ever been severely sick, you know the amount of excruciating pain and sadness it brings. The unpredictability. The mental and emotional suffering that inevitably affects every aspect of your physical health. The doom and gloom. The tears. The endless nights and days spent at the hospital, with your loved one fighting for life, confined to bed. You forget how to smile. You forget how to laugh. You forget how to live. You don’t recognize your reflection. Your hope and faith are withering away… This is where The Tantzers come in. For 10 years, we’ve been helping people through the power of joy. Our volunteers organize and participate in various events, retreats, hospital visits, and more – to bring the light back into the lives of families with sick family members – any way we can. This specific event was one for the books. 50 families forgot about their troubles if only for one night – and sometimes, that’s exactly the hard reset you need. This time around, we’ve arranged an ultra-private concert with the wide-known Israeli superstar singer Akiva. The families felt a really strong connection to him – in fact, he left such an inedible impression on them that we’re still receiving an outpour of kind words. The families started their night of unbridled joy with a lavish buffet, then, a spectacular Mentalist show helped them ease their minds. And Akiva was simply soul food, to top it all off. They arrived exhausted and left replenished. They came with tears and left with laughter. They remembered who they once were, before the tragic event. When you watch this video, you will not see the people whose family member is very sick or bedridden. You probably couldn't even tell. You will see people living their normal lives - or even their best lives, enjoying themselves, dancing, singing, laughing – the same way they used to.
