Dirt 4 was finally released for Europeans as well today. Here you can see an overview of the different game modes in it. Timeline: 0:00 Rally Introduction 0:36 Rally - Australia with Subaru Impreza 2:44 Landrush Introduction 3:21 Landrush - Nevada with Buggy 5:17 Rallycross Introduction 6:03 Rallycross - Lydden Hill with Peugeot 208 8:03 Historic Rally Introduction 8:35 Historic Rally - Spain with Audi Quattro 10:35 Joyride Introduction 11:15 Joyride - Smash Attack 12:39 Joyride - Time Attack Rally is what you know from all other rally racing games. There are 5 different rally locations in Dirt 4, with Australia, Michigan, Wales (all gravel), Spain (tarmac) and Sweden (snow). Landrush is the same as in Dirt 3, bumpy offroad circuit races with buggys and trucks. There are 3 different locations for it, with Mexico, California and Nevada. Rallycross is the same as in Dirt Rally. There are 5 different locations for it, with Lydden Hill, Lohéac Bretagne, Hell, Montalegre and Höljes. Historic Rally is the same as Rally, just with different car classes. Not sure why they made it a separate game mode. These 4 modes can all be played in both single player and multiplayer. Joyride can only be played in single player and it consists of a total of 60 challenges. There are two types of challenges with Smash Attack and Time Attack. Regarding the physics: There are two different handling modes, with Gamer and Simulation. There are separate leaderboards for them and they are separated in multiplayer as well. With Gamer the handling is arcade like in Dirt 3 and it is suitable for every type of controller. Simulation is for people who like the handling of Dirt Rally and should only be used when playing with a wheel, so I will be using Gamer of course. Personally I really like the Joyride challenges and I might try to make a video series showing how to get all 60 gold medals. Of course I will also show a bit of the other modes though and also some multiplayer races.
