This vid shows how I used a strong, but small magnet to flip the image on my JVC Everio GZHD6US LCD screen. I tried this same thing with my Canon zr900, as well as my Panasonic PV-DV53D, but it doesn't work for those models. It MAY work on other Everio models, but I don't know. This also shows how I shoot with it using my DIY rig that mounts my cam upside-down, so I don't have to flip it in post. Biggest reason I came up with it, when shooting hand-held with the Everio, upside-down, it is really easy to accidentally touch the zoom, which ruins the back focus. plus, any time you touch the lens to focus, it bumps the image. So mounting it was better for me. plus - with my rig, stability is FAR better than with just holding it with bare hands. Not as stable as a glidecam or anything, but better than just hand-held. It mounts to my tripod, as I show, but I would still prefer a Shrigg Rig.
