I recently scored a Roland S-50 sampling keyboard off craigslist for $60, and have been putting it thru its paces with floppy images downloaded off the net. Since there's not much in the way of demos of this beast online, I thought I'd make a video of the S-50 running its Director-S sequencer OS and playing the demo tune that came on the disc, called "Sunday Paper." Cheesy stuff, for sure, but it'll give you a basic idea of the sound quality of the S-50, what it can do in real-time, and also a small taste of the sort of factory samples that were generated for it.
