Hi! This was easily the toughest challenge I’ve faced this year. I headed out to my off-grid shelter expecting a typical winter camp, but the temperature plummeted to a bone-chilling -30°C (-22°F). In this video, I’m sharing the reality of winter camping when conditions turn dangerous. Survival in these temperatures isn't a game. You'll see me struggle to get the wood stove going, process frozen firewood, and try to keep the heat inside my uninsulated log cabin. It was a test of endurance, gear, and mindset. I also cook a hot, calorie-dense meal which is absolutely essential for keeping your body temperature up in extreme cold.
