Welcome back to the Sound Bath Choir. In this second episode, we explore one of the most important foundations of singing — the breath. Many people believe their singing voice is the problem, when in reality the voice is simply following the breath. When the breath becomes calm and steady, the voice often becomes calm and steady too. This gentle exercise focuses on breath stability, helping you feel more grounded and relaxed before making sound. There is no pressure to sing perfectly here. Just breathe, hum softly, and notice what happens. The Sound Bath Choir series is designed to gradually help people reconnect with their natural voice through simple weekly practices. Whether you think you can sing or not — you’re welcome here. Next week we’ll explore volume and how to find a vocal level that feels safe and natural. See you next Sunday. — Mat Creedon ⸻ Weekly Practice Spend a few minutes each day: • Slow breathing through the nose • Gentle humming on the exhale • Let the breath carry the sound Consistency matters more than effort. ⸻ Sound Bath Choir Series Week 1 — Fear of singing Week 2 — Breath stability Week 3 — Safe vocal volume Week 4 — Tone stability Week 5 — Singing in front of one person Week 6 — Singing in front of a camera Week 7 — Singing in a small group Week 8 — Full group tone session ⸻ Connect with Mat Creedon 📬 Join Mat Creedon’s newsletter for reflections, sound baths, and weekly practices https://matcreedon.substack.com ▶ Subscribe to the channel / @matcreedon 📷 Instagram / matcreedon 📘 Facebook / mat.creedon
