This plant receives most of its nutrients from the substrate so using a nutrient rich substrate is your best option. The plant itself can consume nutrients from the water but it prefers it from the substrate. You can trim the stem anywhere around the plant and replant it for a new plant growth. Propagation You can propagate the water sprite plant by cutting the stem located anywhere on the plant and replanting that stem into substrate. Water Sprite is a very hardy and sturdy plant that will survive a lot of propagating. This is one of the easiest plans in the aquarium hobby because it propagates so easily. General Care The water sprite aquarium plant is a super hardy plant and great for beginner aquariums. It’s low to medium lighting and any basic LED plant light will suffice.
