Built in the Gibson Custom Shop, this slope shoulder dreadnought combines premium tonewoods, elegant appointments, and legendary J-45 warmth with enhanced clarity and visual flair. The guitar features a solid Engelmann spruce top, prized for its responsiveness and smooth dynamic range, paired with select solid figured koa back and sides. This tonewood combination delivers a warm, balanced low end, articulate mids, and shimmering highs, with koa adding focused projection and beautiful natural compression. The classic slope shoulder dreadnought body provides powerful volume and rich resonance, making it ideal for strumming, songwriting, and vocal accompaniment. A mahogany neck with a slim taper profile and rounded heel offers comfortable playability, while the rosewood fretboard, 12" radius, and 1.725" nut width strike an excellent balance between fingerstyle precision and chordal comfort. Premium visual details include abalone snowflake fretboard inlays, an abalone script vintage-style peghead inlay, and a fine abalone soundhole rosette, all finished in a stunning gloss Antique Natural. For live and studio performance, this Custom Shop J-45 is equipped with an LR Baggs Element Plus pickup system with endpin jack, delivering natural acoustic tone, excellent clarity, and dependable feedback resistance when amplified.
