Dawne Gee is famous for her big heart and professional approach to complicated problems in our community. Dr. Lowe is a Chiropractor in Louisville KY. Lowe Chiropractic & Wellness in Louisville will host a Kids Fair and Bike Helmet Giveaway on Aril 29th from 10 -1. The community event seeks to prevent head injuries from bike accidents among children and coincides with Brain Injury Awareness Month as well as the start of Spring and the associated increase in outdoor activities. Statistics show that as much as 88 percent of bike-related head trauma can be avoided by wearing a helmet. In fact, bike helmet use among children ages 4-15 is estimated to prevent up to 45,000 head injuries – every year. Non-helmeted riders are also 14 times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash than helmeted riders with helmets credited with preventing an estimated 75 percent of bicycle fatalities among children. Dr. Patrick Lowe, owner of Lowe Chiropractic & Wellness, says that with 12 million children in the United States reported to be bike riders, there is significant opportunity for improved education on helmet usage to reduce the devasting effects of preventable injuries. He is dedicated to taking action to reduce that risk in Louisville. A father of four and practice owner, Dr. Lowe is available for interviews to share his personal and professional experiences and expertise related to the lasting and life-altering effects of head trauma.
