The two excerpts of works by Jean-Baptiste Lully to be heard here opened our Director’s Series concert in March 2024, featuring sacred grand motets of the French Baroque. The second work in this video, “Notus in Judaea," we believe to be the first US performance—although if any of our listeners know otherwise, please do send along a concert program to verify!
