Small close tolerance custom fit part for metering gas on the mini 14 operating system. This part is a little large for the Levin 8mm lathe and a little small for the Axelson geared head metal lathe. The Monarch 10ee tool room lathe is my best choice at hand, shown here custom fitted with an Adjustable for run-out cnc style 5C collet chuck and hand wheel type closer balanced as a unit for high speeds and all built on the machine, the drill is held by an Erickson 300 collet chuck that allows drills to be held by their margins or flutes for stiffness eliminating a spotting or center drill. The lathe is a 1983 inch/metric with original thyratron tube variable speed 5hp direct current drive with dynamic braking. Cutter is Micro 100 carbide.
