Fishing on foot: the wealth of the Rance estuary

The Rance estuary is a very unique ecosystem whose tides are controlled by the tidal power plant. We were therefore able to catch the spring tides early and take advantage of the lower tidal swing zone. This allowed us to explore a rocky area that is usually inaccessible. The catches were plentiful: clams, cockles, scallops, swimming crabs, lobsters, and abalone. I took this opportunity to present some amazing foreshore animals, such as the pisa, the lemon snail, and the gattorugine blenny.
