I Built a $100 Excavator Attachment for Demolition Work

We were recently called out by the park owner to clean up the remains of a mobile home that had caught fire—and this wasn’t the first time. In fact, it’s the second mobile home fire in this same park in under two months. Thanks to our dumpster business and the excavating equipment we keep on standby, jobs like this have become second nature to us. What started as an occasional task has quickly turned into a full-on service offering—and we’re getting better, faster, and more efficient every time. This time around, I decided to take things a step further and test out a homemade attachment on my excavator to help speed up the cleanup. With every job, we’re finding new ways to improve and make the most of the tools and resources we already have. It seems we’ve become the go-to crew locally—because we’re already built for it.
