Big Mike is a long-time friend and business partner. The Star model PD 45 was one of the very first small concealable .45's. A low-profile adjustable rear sight, combined with its aluminum alloy construction, resulted in a slim, compact, lightweight and relatively powerful pistol, revolutionary for the time. Due to it's external resemblance to the 1911 pistol, the gun sold very well in the U.S. until it was replaced in 1990 by the Firestar M45. The Star model PD was manufactured by Star Bonifacio Echeverria, S.A., located in the city of Eibar, Spain. Imported by the Garcia Corp. in Washington D.C.
