I didn't like the sound of the original setup with the FM 40. I switched to a flow master 70 series and it was too quiet but had the same sound. I found some broken bolts and rust on the exhaust manifolds. This resulted in Doug Thorley Headers, a Magnaflow High Flow Cat addition to the 70 series. I like the sound but it was still too quiet. So I put the flow master 40 series back on. This is what it sounds like now. It is no V8 but I think she sounds good for a V10! 1999 F 350 crew cab 4x4 6.8L V10 Mods: Intake, Doug Thorley TriY Headers with cross over pipe, Magnaflow High Flow Cat, Flowmaster 40 3" in/2..5" Dual out.
