TATRA FORCE - Forest Firefighting Vehicle
The forest firefighting vehicle with a firefighting superstructure from THT Polička is designed for operations in the rough terrain and during forest fires. Thanks to its steering rear axle, it offers three steering modes, including crab steering for moving diagonally alongside obstacles. The turning circle is just 15 meters, and the approach and departure angles are 35 degrees at both the front and rear. The proven TATRA chassis and air-cooled TATRA V8 engine are complemented by an Allison automatic transmission. The four-seat ROPS-compliant cab is equipped with two emergency seats and together with the superstructure, is protected by an external tubular frame against damage in dense vegetation. Ground clearance can also be adjusted directly from the driver’s seat within a range of –120 to +90 mm.
