The police have claimed to have solved the case with the arrest of five people in connection with the murder of a man from Palghar, Maharashtra. The man's body was recovered from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. Three of those arrested by the police are from Kalaburagi in Karnataka. The highly mutilated body of 52-year-old victim Amarji Gamira Balai was recovered on April 26 from a place under the Waliv police station area of the district, police said. Police said that during the investigation it was found that he was murdered on April 12 due to some dispute. Of the five accused, Kapil Chandu Rathod, his brothers Amol and Laxman Pawar were arrested from Kalaburgi in Karnataka, while two other accused Dinesh and Vishal Ade were arrested from Vasai and Bhiwandi, he said. Dr. Mahesh Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mira Bhayander-Vasai Virar Police Commissionerate, said that a complaint was filed on April 16 stating that Balai was missing from his house since April 12, following which the police arrested a person. The investigation was started by registering a missing report. He said, “Police had received a tip-off that Amol Rathod and his associates had killed Amarji and dumped his body on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway to destroy evidence. A case was registered on April 26 under sections 302 and 201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Mahesh Patil said that the police investigation team later recovered the highly decomposed body of the victim who was dumped on the roadside and packed in a suitcase. During the investigation, the police found that there was a dispute between the victim and the main accused Dinesh Khanyalal Chobisa for the last 6 months over the ownership of a tea stall located opposite a hotel on Kaman-Bhiwandi road. According to the police, Chobisa and his associates hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Balai. As per the plot, they called the victim out of her house on April 12, murdered her and packed her body in a suitcase, and dumped her. Tulinj Assistant Commissioner of Police Pankaj Shirsat said it was a case of 'contract killing' and the deal was done for Rs 70,000. #palghar #murder #DrMaheshpatil ================================== Follow us on Twitter / hindmatam Follow us on Facebook / hindmatamirror Follow us on instagram / hindmatamirror Connect Us on Whatsapp https://wa.me/9323818100 Serving the nation with Hindmata Mirror - A Hindi National News Paper, now you can watch our News Videos on our Youtube Channel HM News.
