In a previous video “Creating Unique Accent Papers” • Creating Unique Accent Papers on the Gel P... I created accent papers using an easy three-layer process. At the time, I was working with a darker, more dramatic palette, and these papers fit in perfectly. But lately, I’ve shifted to a softer, lighter color palette. These original accent papers feel a bit too high-contrast for my current projects. So today, I’m going to create a new set of accent papers with a softer feel and less contrast. This time, over the accent colour, I’ll try a variety of light to mid-tone colours in both transparent and opaque paints. It’s all about adjusting the contrast, and I’ll experiment with different combinations to create a range of possibilities. Let’s dive in and see what we can make! This video shows how I use these papers in a collage of gel prints: • Building a Collage With Your Gel Prints Supplies: Gel Plate (12x14 Gelli Arts Plate) Mixed Media Paper, 9x12 Yasutomo Sketch Paper, 9x12 Acrylic Paint (I primarily use Golden Open) Brayer Videos referred to during this video: • Creating Unique Accent Papers on the Gel P... • Transform Your Botanical Gel Prints into S... • Tool Making for the Gel Plate - Part 1 Chapters: 00:00 Introduction 01:24 Layer 1 - the Accent Colour 08:03 Layer 2 - Going Lighter 22:17 A Bonus Print 23:12 Layer 3 - Going Darker or Lighter 38:06 Review Of Papers
