Philippines News LIVE: Cabinet Officials Join Senate Hearing on Duterte Arrest | Imee Marcos | CNBC TV18 MANILA — Malacañang on Monday confirmed that several government officials would attend the Senate's April 10 hearing on the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the officials who might attend the third hearing of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs led by Sen. Imee Marcos include the following: • Secretary of Justice Jesus Crispin Remulla • Prosecutor General Richard Anthony Fadullon • Chief State Counsel Dennis Arvin Chan • Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo • Philippine Center on Transnational Crime Executive Director Anthony Alcantara • PNP Chief Rommel Franscisco Marbil • CIDG Chief General Nicolas Torre • DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac • Special Envoy on Transnational Crimes Markus Lacanilao Sen. Marcos welcomed the Palace's decision to send the officials to her hearing. "Mabuti at nagdalawang-isip ang administrasyon, pero sana hudyat na ang kanilang anunsyo ng pagnanais ibunyag ang katotohanan, na sa wakas, maliwanagan ang sambayanan patungkol sa totoong mga pangyayari," Marcos said in a statement. Duterte was arrested on March 11 after the Interpol served an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.
