Welcome to the inaugural edition of the Meirin's Visual Novel Awards, where I rank every single VN I played this year to find the best and the worst titles of 2024 and decide which one gets to receive the honorable GOTY (VOTY? VNOTY?) award. This has been a year with quite the steep competition, so hopefully this ranking presented in a tier list format will help reveal the greatest VN of the year. Sure, this might not be an exhaustive list of every single visual novel released this year, something I don't think is even possible, but I hope this helps someone discover a couple of new and interesting Japanese VNs.
