Artificial intelligence is beginning to reshape labor markets across the world. Most research on AI and employment, including studies from leading technology companies, focuses on labor markets in advanced economies. These studies often measure disruption through indicators such as unemployment rates and occupational exposure. But labor markets in the Global South operate differently.
