Shekinah Glory of God Shekinah is the revealed and manifested presence of God. It comes from the Hebrew word “Sheken,” meaning to dwell. Shekinah is the glory that flows from intimacy with God — the glory that appears where there is a dwelling place. Paul speaks of a mystery when he declares, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” This is the revelation: God is transcendent, yet He chooses to be immanent. He has made us His dwelling place. And when He dwells within us, His glory is revealed.
