Best friends Volt and Sgt. Shellshock is on an adventure when their journey takes an unexpected turn. While driving on a journey, they accidentally crush a nuclear-powered bug, enraging the creature. Their day takes a different twist when they spot a distressed woman who has lost her pet dog. Eager to help, they offer their assistance, only to have their plans interrupted by Volt's lifelong rival, Ranger, who swoops in to steal both the spotlight and the lady's attention. As they bicker and fight for the woman's attention, the nuclear bug reappears, seeking revenge and kidnapping the girl in the process. Now, the unlikely team must put aside their differences and work together to rescue her, battling the deadly bug and facing challenges that force them to confront their personal rivalries.
