Hello People, Today’s Video : 24 Hours in India’s Most Underrated City | Aizawl, Mizoram In this vlog, I spend 24 hours exploring Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, one of the most underrated places to travel in India. I flew from Bangalore → Kolkata → Lengpui Airport, which is the only airport in Mizoram. From there I took a cab to Aizawl city. If you're planning a trip to Mizoram, here are some useful travel details from my experience. 🚕 Airport Taxi (Lengpui Airport to Aizawl) Cab driver: Gautam Thapa Phone: +91 8132841449 If you're visiting Mizoram and need a reliable taxi from Lengpui Airport to Aizawl, you can contact him directly. 🏡 Stay in Aizawl Guesthouse 1: The 1998 Homestay Price: approx ₹1200–₹1300 per night Guesthouse 2: The west View apartments Price : approx ₹2000–₹2500 per night A comfortable and budget-friendly stay option in Aizawl. 📍Places explored in this vlog 🏛 Mizoram State Museum One of the best places to start if you want to understand the history, culture, and traditions of the Mizo people. The museum showcases traditional costumes, tribal artifacts, and the lifestyle of different communities in Mizoram. 🎟 Entry ticket: approx ₹20–₹30 ⏱ Time required: about 30–45 minutes 🍽 Mizo Diner (Local Mizo Food) If you want to try authentic Mizo cuisine in Aizawl, this place is highly recommended. I ordered the Mizo Thali, but you can also try dishes like Bai, pork chilli, Sawhchiar, bamboo shoot dishes and Mizo salad. A great introduction to local food in Mizoram. ☕ 14 Beans Cafe A cozy Instagrammable cafe in Aizawl where you can relax with coffee and enjoy the city views. The best time to visit is after 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, when the city slowly transitions from day to night and the hills light up beautifully. 🛍 Bara Bazaar (Dawrpui Market) The main market of Aizawl and one of the most vibrant places in the city. You’ll find vegetables, fruits, clothes, thrift shops, second-hand markets, and local produce all in different sections of the market. ⏰ Best time to visit: 4 PM – 6 PM Bargaining is possible, but remember that this is the livelihood of local vendors, so be respectful. 🍵 Neeli Dukan A small but very popular spot among locals for chai and evening snacks. If you want a quick tea break while exploring the market area, this is a 10/10 stop. 🛵 Aizawl Bike Taxi Bike taxis are very common in Aizawl and work almost like auto-rickshaws in other cities. They are cheap, quick and very useful for navigating the steep roads of this hill city. 1-2kms can cost from 50-80 INR This vlog is part of my Mizoram travel series, where I explore one of the most beautiful and underrated regions in India.
