What happens when someone truly encounters Jesus? In this message, we journey through the raising of Lazarus and the powerful declaration of Jesus in Gospel of John 11:23–26: “I am the resurrection and the life… Do you believe this?” Lazarus didn’t just experience a miracle — his life became a testimony. Crowds came not only to see Jesus, but to see the one who had been raised from the dead. His transformed life caused many to believe, and it provoked strong opposition (John 12:9–19). This message challenges us with a searching question: If you have encountered Jesus, what about your life shows it? We explore what it truly means to be: Crucified with Christ (Epistle to the Romans 6:6–7) Dead to sin and alive to God (Romans 6:11) Walking in newness of life (Romans 6:4) Being dead to sin means: Sin no longer has legal authority over you You are no longer a slave Your identity has changed You don’t fight for victory — you fight from victory. Many believers live beneath what Jesus has already secured for them. Scripture reminds us that we have received an inheritance secured by covenant, sealed by the Holy Spirit (Epistle to the Ephesians 1:11–14). God has legally committed Himself to finish what He started. We close by anchoring our hope in a living, imperishable inheritance, reserved for us through the resurrection of Jesus Christ (First Epistle of Peter 1:3–4). Don’t live beneath your inheritance. Encounter Jesus — and walk in resurrection life. 👉 Like, subscribe, and share if this message speaks to you. 🙏 Comment below: What in your life reflects an encounter with Jesus? What happens when someone truly encounters Jesus?
