I’ve been playing Hogwarts legacy and I love it, it’s so much fun. Going to Hogwarts and casting spells is such a dream, I’m having so much fun playing the game. I am hoping to go to some more nice places, hopefully York sometime in the near future, it looks so beautiful and hogsmeade is reminding me of it! I’ve been going to the cotswolds recently, with my family and some friends, to take photos of everything looking pretty during autumn. Winter seems to be right around the corner though which I’m kinda dreading. It’s already so dark in the evenings and it’s making me so tired. ;_; I’ve been watching the traitors recently! The finale was pretty cool, it’s been reminding me of the kids show Trapped, it was probably one of my favourite TV shows as a kid. I remember coming home from school at 10 years old, Trapped was on at like 16:00/16:15, so I used to rush to the living room to watch the new episode. I literally used to think they got trapped in the towers, I thought it was pretty scary but loved it. Wish they did an adult version, there’s not really anything that kinda matches up to it. Honestly the challenges in the traitors were so boring. It’d be way more fun if it was something like Trapped, where they had to have a saboteur and someone helping them out through their earpiece. ALSO I’ve been reading, I just finished ‘We Have Always Lived in the Castle’ by Shirley Jackson, it was only 140 pages and honestly I found it extremely underwhelming, I feel bad for saying it because it seems that so many people loved it. I liked the way it started, and the way it’s written, but I wasn’t really feeling creeped out. I kept reading on waiting for a big reveal or plot twist, and just felt underwhelmed and a bit bored. I also recently read ‘Fingersmith’ by Sarah Waters, LOVED IT AHHH! It was about 500 pages longer but felt like a shorter read than that book. I also felt like ‘Fingersmith’ did have a lot of repetition, because it showed two perspectives of individuals during the same timespan, which felt a little draggy (but very readable), but gosh this other book literally felt like reading a blank page 50 times, I kept losing my attention. I’ve found that if my mind starts wandering while I’m reading, or I’m thinking of other things, it’s because I’m bored. The previous 5 books I’ve read have felt like easy reads because I loved them so much, it’s a fun feeling. Anyway though, in ‘Fingersmith’ I loved all the descriptions of the 1800s, I’ve started called the toilet ‘the privy’ or referring to it as ‘the chamber pot’, I can envision all the gowns they wore, and the horse carriages. Jack the Ripper on the loose. It’s seems so fascinating, when I think of it I always think of so much mystery. On another note, Halloween was fun! I dressed as a vampire, and then found out permanent fangs was a thing… I have not stopped thinking about them since, I used to be extremely jealous of friends who had sort of natural vampire teeth, the fact that this is a thing that exists is fuelling me with something LOL. The ones I’m looking at are done with composite bonding, they put it over your natural tooth, nothing like veneers or anything. This is random but I’m still addicted to eating konjac shuang, they’re so freaking delicious omg, the red ones aren’t that spicy to me anymore, I can easily eat multiple.
