GEAR GIVEAWAYS - Check here to see what I'm currently giving away: • Gear Giveaways PLAY IT FORWARD - Someone gave me a guitar when I was 15, and it changed my life. So I want to pay it forward. Support me on Patreon to help me on my mission to put free guitars in the hands of youngsters, new adult students, or just generally people I meet who could use a guitar. Every little bit helps! https://www.patreon.com/user?u=435234... This is meant to compare the home recording capabilities of these two amps. The recordings you hear sound almost identical when I'm playing it live through headphones, but going USB into Garageband, the Spark sounds thinner and less reverb is audible on the recording. In general, I prefer the emulated tube settings of the Blackstar for warmth and dynamic, and for a live amp setting, I also prefer the real tube tone of the Blackstar. In short, if you're the kind of person who thinks vinyl records sound better, get the Blackstar. If you want to quickly and cheaply go from sounding "mostly" like, SRV to Metallica, from Jimmy Page to Jimi Hendrix, from Clapton to Slayer, then get the Spark. It does a lot of things well, but the tube amp does a few things excellently. Personally, I'm going less is more with the tube amp. Backing Track: https://www.patreon.com/posts/neo-sou... Spark 40 Pros Versatility Built in effects Bluetooth App Louder through headphones Cons Latency with Garageband Line out not usable Brittle sound Noisy (hums slightly even after grounded supply) Blackstar HT1R MKII Pros Real Tube Tones Clean Headroom (compared to Vox 4watt amp) Two Channels (each with two voices) No Latency Warmth Emulated line out sounds great Cons Must purchase effects pedals separately (expensive if you don't own them already) 3 different sounds (line out vs. usb. vs live amp)...all good, but slightly different Line out has low volume (usb and headphones)...it's usable but low Sound bleeds through speaker if using headphones with high gain #sparkamp #blackstaramps #homerecording #garageband #tunevsmodeler #tubeamp #budgetgear #budgetgearreview #budgetguitar #busydadguitar #busydadguitar #intermediateguitar #intermediateguitarist #levelupguitar Facebook: / justinbishopsmusic Instagram: / justinbishopmusic Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=435234...
