On October 8, 2009, the Jamison family - Bobby, Sherilynn and their daughter Madyson packed up their truck, and drove with their dog off to check on some land they wanted to purchase in Red Oak, Oklahoma, thirty miles from their home in Eufaula. They were never seen again. Their truck, dog still alive inside, was found a few days later, but their bodies were not found for four more years, three miles from the vehicle. Cause of death remains unknown. To say this family had issues is an understatement. They seemed to have family issues, marriage issues, health issues and mental issues. The theories on this case range from murder by a drug cartel (Bobby believed his father was involved in drugs and some think they were into drug dealing) to Bobby's father killing them (Bobby had filed a restraining order against him to family suicide to murder/suicide. Left in the truck were their family IDs, wallets, and $32,000 in cash in a bag. The gun Sherilynn owned and supposedly carried was not found at home or in the truck or at the site of the bodies. Due to some strange ideas and behaviors of the couple, some think they were killed by a cult. There is one documentary on MAX called “Disappeared: Paradise Lost (Season 2, Episode 10).” It can also be found on Investigation Discovery depending on one’s subscription. It is interesting but leaves so much out that this makes the case all the more difficult to analyze. I think this is the website I was reading from for basic info!
