The weather was great yesterday, but unfortunately I was away for work. Today, Sunday, didn’t look so promising at first, but it started to improve rapidly after 2pm. We headed up onto the Moors and, almost the moment we arrived, the sky cleared and the sun broke through. A perfect day to fly around Ditsworthy Warren House and the surrounding area. Ditsworthy Warren House is a historic Dartmoor building that was originally used as the headquarters for managing the surrounding rabbit warrens, once an important source of food and income. Its isolated setting and timeless appearance made it an ideal filming location for Steven Spielberg’s War Horse, where it featured prominently as the farmhouse home of the main character. Standing there, it’s easy to see why the location was chosen, the landscape feels raw, dramatic and completely unchanged by time. -- Apex EVO DC 7 "
