This is a sample lesson from an online course I am making which teaches singers how to learn the Italian Art Song Caro Mio Ben by Tommaso Giordani. This lesson teaches students how to pronounce the Italian lyrics for Caro Mio Ben at performance tempo. This is the Schirmer Edition. In this course, you will learn the pitches, rhythms, breathing strategy related to phrasing, translation of the text in addition to all the Italian diction and ensemble skills for working with a pianist. By the end of this course you will be equipped to sing with confidence and accuracy for a voice lesson, coaching, or audition. The course will include video lessons, practice exercises, and printables and I will include all the different keys from both the Schirmer and Paton editions for every fach/voice type from the low/bass to the high/tenor and soprano. Usually the first few coaching sessions or voice lessons of each semester are mostly about learning when to sing (rhythm), which to sing (correct pitches), and how to sing (diction, phrasing, ensemble skills). I thought that there might be a way to help singers learn most of these things before the semester begins, or at least give them the tools to practice on their own. This course is the tool I think will help singers learn their music faster and better so they can arrive at their first lesson as skilled as they used to arrive to their third or fourth lesson.
